
Did you know that approximately only 20% of the US population is internally motivated to exercise on a consistent basis? That leaves 80% that is not consistent! This program hopes to help change that statistic.
Walking and running are two of the most accessible and least expensive activities to engage in. You can pretty much participate year round and all you need is a good pair of shoes! We will provide you the tools to get you started on your wonderful journey to fitness and health. You are never too old to get started!

- These 10-12 week training programs welcome women of all ability levels, especially true beginners and intermediate runners.
- You will train weekly with women who have similar goals and interests in one of our beautiful Minnesota parks.
- Rates vary between $40-$110.
- Group training is very powerful. The American College of Sports Medicine states in the 3rd edition of the ACSM Fitness Book that Commitments made, as part of a group, tend to be stronger than those made independently. This stimulus of the group often provides the incentive to continue during periods of flagging interest.

PROGRAM GOALS
- To provide motivation for you to workout on a consistent basis.
- To be able to comfortably run a 5K (3.1 mile), 10K (6.2 mile), or a half marathon (13.1 mile) event.
- To provide a safe and non-intimidating environment for women to workout.
- To offer information on run/walk technique, wellness, injury prevention, nutrition, proper progression, etc. through seminars and handouts.
- To instill a LOVE for the outdoors!
- To help create a network of women who enjoy the camaraderie of working out together.

- Coaches emails filled with training tidbits & motivation.
- Occasional seminars from guest speakers on topics such as nutrition, shoes, apparel, fitness training, motivation, injury prevention, safety, etc.
- Training log to use as a motivational tool to log your daily/weekly mileage.
